Collien Fernandes says her 14-year-old daughter broke off contact with her after a conversation the child had with Christian Ulmen. The 44-year-old said she had not seen her child for weeks and that the first cutoff came right after that talk.
That is why Fernandes is being searched now: the private dispute has turned into a public fallout that no longer stops with the former couple. She and Ulmen share custody, and Fernandes says the break in contact began after what she described as a conversation that changed everything for her daughter.
In a social media post, Fernandes said the basis of the contact break was lies. She said, in her words, “Es gab ein Gespräch, das Christian mit unserer Tochter führte, woraufhin sie den Kontakt mit mir abbrach,” and added that until that conversation, her access to the child had not been stopped. She also said she still believes things will somehow be like they were before.
The dispute has now reached a point where the child is being pulled into the center of it. A former nanny said in an RTL interview that Fernandes was to blame and quoted the teenager as saying she did not want the allegations made public and wished her mother would be a little more there for her. Fernandes rejected that as a false claim and said, “Falschaussage!”
The friction is not just about who said what in public. Fernandes has already accused Ulmen of digital violence, and the conflict is framed around allegations that she made public partly to show her daughter that she should defend herself if something similar ever happens to her. For now, the most consequential fact is simple: a mother says she has been shut out of her child’s life for weeks, and the reason she gives is a conversation she believes should never have become this decisive.
What remains unanswered is what was actually said in that conversation between Ulmen and the daughter. Fernandes says she tried to reach an arrangement gently and then more directly, but the contact break has held, and the child remains at the center of a fight neither side seems able to pull back from.
