San Siro is changing the way fans get in and around the stadium, and the new layout starts immediately with Inter-Monza on Saturday 22 August at 18:30. For the 2026/27 season, access routes, entrance numbers and parking rules are being reshaped as the work site for the new stadium changes the area around the ground.

The first impact is on the journey to the turnstiles. Parking for cars has already been cut and will continue to shrink through the season, pushing more spectators toward public transport. For the Arancio, Verde and Rosso sectors, the advised route is M1 to Lotto. For Arancio, Blu and Rosso, fans can use M5 to San Siro Stadio or tram 16 to Stadio Meazza.

That advice matters because the new layout is not just about where to arrive, but where each ticket can be used. Every spectator will find a recommended entrance on the pass, yet in most cases that is only an indication, not a requirement. Fans can also choose another available entrance if the queue is shorter. Three access points break that rule: entrance 2 is mandatory for Secondo Verde, entrance 3 for Terzo Verde, and entrance 15 bis is mandatory and exclusive for Terzo Blu, the away section.

The entrance map has been cut back as part of the same overhaul. Entries 7, 8, 9 and 10 are no longer in use, the western side of the gate line no longer has entrances for the red sectors, and that area will serve only as an emergency exit zone that can open during the end-of-match flow. Via dei Piccolomini is closed to pedestrian traffic, while disabled spectators will enter through PC4 beside entrance 11.

The club is also tightening the rules inside the stadium. Supporters must sit in the seat shown on the ticket and follow all access and stay instructions. Smoking is banned, and so are large umbrellas, lighters, lasers, smoke devices, unauthorised flags or banners, helmets, strollers, trolleys and professional cameras. In wet weather, only small umbrellas without a pointed tip will be allowed.

The immediate question is not whether the system will change again, but how quickly fans will adapt to a layout that is already in force for the first match of the season and will keep tightening as parking continues to fall. For San Siro regulars, the new routine begins now.
