Nancy Mace has put new ink on display in the introduction to her podcast, Get Maced, turning a personal reveal into the latest public image she has chosen to project. The 30-second clip shows her in different attire, including tank tops and bikinis, with the tattoos visible on her arms.
The intro appeared to air first on Aug. 11 with a podcast episode, which is why searches for who is Nancy Mace are surfacing again now. Mace, 48, said in February that she got nine tattoos between 2023 and 2024, around the time of a breakup with her fiancé and the removal of a benign tumor from her uterus. She said the work was meant to “reclaim her body” and reflect “the pain that I need to feel.”
What she has not done is explain the tattoos one by one. One appears to be a Christ-like figure, another seems to be an eagle, and the word “Justice” can be seen. According to Politico, one tattoo reads, “Mrs. Dalloway said she would buy the flowers herself.” The meaning of each design remains Mace’s private shorthand, and the clip does not try to decode it for viewers.
That silence sits next to a louder public identity. Mace, a conservative former Republican lawmaker, called herself “Trump in high heels” in 2025, but Trump publicly endorsed Pamela Evette as she sought the Republican nomination for South Carolina governor. Mace later finished last in South Carolina’s June gubernatorial primary, after also joining Democrats and three other House Republicans — Thomas Massie, Lauren Boebert and Marjorie Taylor Greene — to push the U.S. Justice Department to release its Jeffrey Epstein files. She said on May 29 that she knew she put the likelihood of an endorsement on the line when she demanded transparency on the Epstein files.
The tattoo reveal lands as part of that broader pattern: Mace keeps changing the way she presents herself, but she has not changed the part of the story that matters most to readers. She has shown the ink. She has explained the wound behind it. She still has not said what each tattoo means, and that is the detail left hanging in the frame.
