Yahoo Fantasy draft boards are moving in a way that changes the entire shape of early selections. Quarterbacks are going earlier in 2026, mid-range tight ends are climbing, and Emeka Egbuka is still being taken after Tetairoa McMillan, Travis Etienne and Cam Skattebo even though his start last season showed top-end upside.
That matters now because drafters are watching ADP settle for a new season, and the gaps on Yahoo are not matching the rest of the market. Adam Pfeifer broke down the biggest discrepancies in 2026 Yahoo Fantasy football drafts, pointing to a board that is tighter than ’s and more willing to pay up for positions that usually wait a little longer.
The clearest sign is at quarterback. Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson are both coming off the board as top-36 picks on Yahoo, a level that reflects how aggressively the platform is treating the position this summer. The same shift is happening at tight end, where mid-range TE1 options are being drafted higher than they are elsewhere, tightening a part of the board that usually offers more patience for value hunters.
Egbuka is the player who makes the difference feel real. Through the first five weeks, he averaged 20.4 PPR PPG and ranked as the WR3 in fantasy. That early stretch still explains why his name keeps coming up in best-ball and high-stakes circles, even as his Yahoo price has not caught up to the kind of Round 2 valuation that production normally demands.
The reason his draft slot has not fully corrected is not hard to see. Egbuka suffered a hamstring injury in the second half of the season, was limited to 64% of the routes and saw his production and efficiency plummet. He did not miss a game, but the injury changed the shape of his year, and that late-season dip is still sitting in the market even as his touchdown upside rises and 50% of Tampa Bay’s end zone targets are in the conversation around him.
Parker Washington fits the same theme from a different angle. He is being drafted around 18 spots earlier on than on Yahoo, and his late-season numbers help explain why the gap may not last forever. From Week 12 on last year, he posted a 25% target share, a 26% TPRR, 7.7 targets and 17 PPR PPG, the kind of profile that tends to move quickly once summer drafters decide the breakout is real.
Josh Jacobs is another player whose price carries risk, and not only because he has a groin injury that kept him out of practice for over a week. There is also the possibility of a suspension by the NFL for violating the league’s personal conduct policy, a cloud that makes his Yahoo ADP harder to trust than the cleaner values ahead of him on the board.
For Yahoo Fantasy drafters, the takeaway is simple: the market is rewarding quarterbacks and tight ends earlier than usual, while some of the clearest receiver values are still lagging behind. If Egbuka and Washington keep climbing, the best bargains in these drafts may not stay bargains for long.
