Travis Barker says he and Kourtney Kardashian try not to go to sleep angry, a small rule that he says helps keep their four-year marriage steady. Even a disagreement as ordinary as a missed lunch text, he said, gets handled before bed so neither of them feels disconnected.
Barker, who spoke to People, said the point is not to win an argument but to reset it. He said accountability matters, and so does a quick apology when one of them drops the ball. In his telling, that can be as simple as saying he is sorry he did not see a message right away, then moving on before the night ends.
The remark gives a rare look at the way Barker describes life with Kourtney Kardashian. Before they became a couple, he said they had known each other for years and trained together as workout buddies, which he now frames as part of what makes their relationship work. He also made clear that the habit is about connection, not ceremony: resolving whatever is bothering them before sleep is, for him, the point.
The marriage itself has been built in public view. Kardashian and Barker got engaged in 2021, had an unofficial wedding in Las Vegas on April 3, 2022, legally married in Santa Barbara on May 15, 2022, and then held an extravagant wedding in Italy on May 22, 2022, at Villa Olivetta. They later welcomed Rocky 13 on November 1, 2023, at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, after Kardashian became pregnant naturally in late 2022 following a stop in IVF.
That makes the bedtime rule feel less like a slogan than a household practice in a family that now includes nine people. Kardashian's children Mason, Penelope and Reign, Barker's children Landon and Alabama, and Atiana De La Hoya are all part of the blended family they formed after marrying. The part Barker does not answer is how often the rule gets tested. If the stakes can be as low as a delayed lunch text, then the real test is not whether they argue, but whether they still make the same choice at the end of the day.
