7 Brew has launched its first mobile app and rolled out a revamped loyalty system, giving customers a new way to order, customize drinks and collect rewards as the chain pushes deeper into digital sales. The app is being folded into the order flow, with drinks prepared fresh when customers arrive at the stand.
The move lands now because 7 Brew is no longer a small regional chain trying to prove a concept. It had 24 stores at the start of 2023, 604 stores at the start of 2026 and now has upwards of 800 locations, with 447 openings projected this year. That pace puts the brand on track to cross the 1,000-unit threshold, and the app is meant to help keep those new customers coming back.
Nick Chaves said the app could handle up to 20,000 drink combinations, a number that shows how much of the chain’s business depends on customization. He also said the app unlocks the secret menu for the first time, turning a piece of brand lore into a feature customers can actually tap through on their phones. The rewards side is being used as the hook: 7 Brew plans to promote downloads through its loyalty system, with members getting a chance to win 100,000 rewards points.
The loyalty overhaul matters because the chain is trying to make digital ordering fit a business model that has been built almost entirely around drive-thru speed. Only two of its stores lacked a drive-thru channel, even as the company built out a mobile system for ordering ahead. That is the friction point in the rollout: 7 Brew is trying to modernize how people buy its drinks without losing the fast, roadside rhythm that built the brand.
For now, the company is betting that the app becomes both a sales tool and a habit-forming rewards engine. Members currently earn 100 points per visit, and a free drink of any size costs 1,000 points under the existing system. Going forward, 7 Brew says points can also be redeemed for branded merchandise such as letterman jackets and a 7 Brew themed mini-fridge, a sign that the chain wants the app to do more than process orders. The unanswered question is how quickly those digital features reach every customer as the company keeps adding stores.
That matters because coffee chains have learned that apps can do more than speed up checkout. Starbucks Rewards counts 35.8 million 90-day active members in the U.S., and mobile ordering helped Dutch Bros double brand awareness in 18 months. 7 Brew is trying to borrow that lesson while it is still expanding at a sprint, and the app launch gives it a new channel to turn first-time buyers into repeat customers.
