Ritchson also pointed to the relationship angle at the center of the season, saying Reacher sleeps with the enemy and that the story involves Lila Hoth. When a moderator asked whether Reacher catches feelings this time, Ritchson would not answer directly. Instead, he said, “I think Reacher experiences his feelings in his own way.”
That leaves the clearest part of the rollout and the blurriest part of the story sitting side by side. Amazon Prime subscribers know when the season starts, and the book connection gives a strong hint about the shape of the plot.
