Patrick Clancy remarried in April, marrying Dr. Rachel Danis at the Ladies Pavilion in Central Park, a private new chapter for the surviving parent in a case that has gripped attention since the deaths of his three children.
The marriage became public last week when his lawyer, Kevin Reddington, revealed it in court. Danis is a reproductive endocrinologist and infertility specialist based in New York City. The timing gives fresh shape to a family story that has remained raw for more than three years: Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and Callan, eight months old, died on Jan. 24, 2023, after Lindsay Clancy was charged with murdering them.
That history still shadows any update about Patrick. In the days after the children’s deaths, he used a GoFundMe post to ask people to forgive Lindsay, writing that he wanted others to “find it deep within yourselves to forgive Lindsay, as I have.” He said the “real Lindsay” had been “generously loving and caring,” called the “very fibers of her soul” loving, and wrote that all he wished for her was peace.
The remarks were striking then and remain striking now because they sat beside the criminal case at the center of the tragedy. Lindsay Clancy allegedly strangled the children with exercise bands in the basement of the Duxbury, Massachusetts, home before jumping from a second-story window in a botched suicide attempt. Patrick and Lindsay later divorced after she was charged with murdering the children, yet he publicly framed her in the GoFundMe appeal as the person he knew inside the marriage, which he described as “wonderful” and as growing stronger even as her condition worsened.
Reddington said Patrick has suffered one of the worst tragedies imaginable and is trying hard to move on with his life. The remarriage suggests that move is no longer only private; it is now part of the public record. What remains unresolved is how Patrick, who once asked strangers to forgive Lindsay, is living with the aftermath now that he has built a new household while the case that destroyed his old one still defines the family’s name.
