Traffic on Interstate 15 in Ogden was heavily delayed Tuesday morning after a crash involving two semi-trucks, backing up southbound lanes near 12th Street and slowing drivers for hours before all lanes reopened.

The crash was first reported just before 6:30 a.m. by the Utah Department of Transportation, putting the disruption squarely in the morning commute. Utah Highway Patrol said one person was picking up cones in the area when traffic slowed near 12th Street, and a second semi-truck came up on the backup too fast and could not stop properly.

Officials said no injuries were reported, and medical responders did not assess anyone at the scene. Even so, the crash created significant delays between Farr West and Ogden while crews investigated and cleared the roadway, a reminder that a wreck does not have to send anyone to the hospital to throw a major corridor off schedule.

All lanes have since reopened, but drivers were still warned they may run into residual delays. With the wreck cleared, the main question for travelers is no longer whether Interstate 15 will move again; it is how long the slowdown lingers before traffic fully returns to normal.
