Amanda Frances is leaving The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills after one season, closing the door on her run just as production for Season 16 is ramping up. She announced the exit on Instagram, saying, “My time on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is complete.”
The timing matters because her departure comes while the next season is taking shape, which means one of Season 15’s newer faces will not be part of the cast going forward. Frances joined the series in Season 15, and her presence drew attention not just because she was new, but because she arrived with a ready-made storyline and a business history that quickly became part of the conversation.
In her post, Frances framed the decision as a choice made from a full life rather than a clean break from the spotlight. She called saying yes to the show “one of the boldest, wildest, most clarifying things I’ve ever done” and said she was “genuinely grateful.” She also thanked the women, the viewers who supported her or challenged her, and even the people who “found my work” and “bought my books,” before describing the experience as “a ministry, honestly.”
That gratitude came with a line that explains why she may be walking away now. Frances said she came into the experience with “an already-full life,” and that “right now, that life is asking for all of me.” She said the show gave her “an incredible platform,” but added that “a platform is not the same thing as a foundation,” then said one of the greatest gifts was seeing how strong that foundation actually is.
The exit also lands in the middle of questions that followed her on the show. Frances was introduced as a self-made millionaire who sold online courses that helped other women build wealth, and some of her co-stars questioned how she made her money. She did not answer that debate in the post, and she did not give a specific reason for stepping away from Season 16.
What she did do was sketch the next stretch of her life in plain terms. Frances said her memoir will be released soon and that she will get married this fall. She ended her post with a line that reads less like a goodbye than a verdict on her own next move: “And you can be grateful for an opportunity and know when it’s time to leave.”
