Nintendo is adding a playable Nintendo Switch 2 lineup to Gamescom, with Nintendo Switch Sports Resort, Splatoon Raiders and Pokémon Pokopia’s Expansion Pass set for the show floor. The company posted the update on 05th, Aug. 2026, and said these games will be playable at Gamescom later this month.
That matters now because Gamescom runs from August 26th to 30th, giving attendees a short window to try Nintendo’s latest showcase in person. Nintendo’s post was blunt about the pitch: “Check out these #NintendoSwitch2 games that will be playable at #gamescom later this month!”
The headline names are only part of the draw. Pokémon Pokopia’s Expansion Pass currently means the new Bubbly Basin DLC, while 007 First Light is listed as arriving later this Summer. Other titles mentioned for the event include Minecraft Dungeons 2, Orbitals, Metaphor: ReFantazio, EA Sports FC 27 and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, which is described as the first Call of Duty to be released on the Switch.
Nintendo is joining the Gamescom publisher roster alongside Sega and Xbox, and that placement gives the lineup broader weight than a single-game reveal. It signals a booth built to pull in both Nintendo loyalists and players looking past the company’s own slate, with the Switch 2 used as the common thread across the games named so far.
But the list is still not complete. Nintendo has left room for an unannounced “and more” addition, which means the company is asking attention for a lineup it has not fully shown yet. That gap keeps the story open: the playable games are known, the rest is not, and whatever fills that blank will define how ambitious Nintendo’s Gamescom presence really is.
