Salad And Go said Tuesday it will close all of its locations permanently after filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, ending a fast-moving chain that once grew from Gilbert into a 70-unit drive-thru business in Arizona and Nevada. The company said Wednesday will be its last day serving customers.
That means the remaining stores still open now are on a short clock: they will serve through Wednesday, then shut down for good. The closure follows earlier exits from Texas and Oklahoma in January and a September 2025 announcement that more than 40 stores were being closed across the country.
Mike Tattersfield, the company’s CEO, said, “This is a painful day for everyone who built, worked for and loved Salad And Go.” He said the business was built by an extraordinary team and embraced by guests who made it part of their routines, adding that the company is proud of what it built together and grateful to every team member, guest and partner who believed in it.
Salad And Go said it could not overcome sustained pressure on consumer demand, past strategic growth challenges and rising costs. It also said the July Cyclospora outbreak weakened confidence across the industry and compounded its problems, even though the company said it was not implicated in that outbreak.
The close leaves the company’s remaining Arizona and Nevada footprint on a final countdown, but it also leaves one unanswered question: how many employees will be out of work when the last orders are handed over on Wednesday.
