Mattel has given Angel Reese her own Barbie Signature doll, turning the Atlanta Dream star into the latest athlete to join the brand’s lineup in late July 2026. The doll made its public debut with Barbie-inspired Reebok Angel Reese 1 shoes, and the rollout now stretches from toy shelves to a themed night in Atlanta.

The doll shows Reese with her ponytail, pink nails and an all-pink game-day look, and it appears in the new Angel Reese 1 basketball shoes in a Barbie-inspired colorway. The Barbie and Reebok collaboration includes the shoes in adult and children's sizes, while Reese also worked on a limited-edition apparel collection inspired by the outfit worn by the doll. Todd Krinsky said the debut celebrates Angel's impact on sport, style and culture.

That mix of message and merchandise is part of why the release has landed so loudly. Fans have described Reese becoming a Barbie as a milestone, and Regina, who said she saw the announcement on a plane, called it inspiring for African American women and little girls. She said she bought it as soon as she could, calling it a hot item. Reese framed the doll as more than a likeness, saying it was a dream come true and a way to show girls there are no limits to what they can achieve.

The public debut happened at TOGETHXR House during WNBA All-Star Weekend in Chicago, tying the launch to one of the league's biggest stages. Reese recently became a co-owner of TOGETHXR, and the company is now part of the broader push around her image as athlete, entrepreneur and cultural figure. That helps explain why the rollout looks both personal and commercial at once: it is meant to inspire, but it is also built to sell across toys, shoes, clothes and live events.

The next step comes Monday, when the Atlanta Dream host their first-ever Barbie Game Day against the Las Vegas Aces. Ticket packages for that game include a Barbie Game Day Dream Tie Back Headband, a Dream Clear Cross Body Bag and an Angel Reese #5 Barbie Dream Jersey. Separately, the Angel C. Reese Foundation held its fourth annual Back to School Bash on Saturday and gave school supplies to 1,000 families, along with free food, games, music and raffle giveaways. For Reese, the Barbie launch is no longer just a reveal. It is a campaign moving from the toy aisle into the arena.
