The Knox County Sheriff’s Office carried out a court-ordered eviction at Tots & Teens Pediatrics in Powell on Monday, removing the clinic from its space in Suite 130 of Physicians Plaza MOB A. Deputies were there to enforce the court’s directive, not to argue it, and the sheriff’s office said any patient records, documents, or other sensitive items taken out during the eviction will be secured and handled appropriately.
That is why the move is drawing attention now: a pediatric office was the site of a forced removal, and the work inside it may include medical files that cannot simply be left behind. Kimberly Glenn said the Civil Process Division executed the eviction and that deputies were on scene solely to carry out the court’s directive in a safe and orderly manner. The sheriff’s office also framed the action in plain terms, saying it is responsible for serving and enforcing lawful orders issued by the court.
Tennova Healthcare added a separate layer to the situation, saying North Knoxville Medical Center was recently notified that Tots and Teens Pediatrics is no longer operating at its current location effective July 31, 2026. The spokesperson said Welltower, Inc. has discontinued the lease agreement with Tots and Teens Pediatrics. That leaves the clinic with a timeline that points to the end of operations at the current site, even as the eviction itself was carried out Monday.
The part that does not line up neatly is the one readers will notice first. The sheriff’s office said it was executing a court order, while Tennova’s statement focuses on the lease ending and the clinic stopping work at its current address on July 31, 2026. Both can be true at once, but they describe different pieces of the same problem: one is the legal step that let deputies enter, and the other is the business position of the clinic’s operator. Neil Feld, who is listed on Tennova’s website, is tied to the practice now sitting at the center of the eviction.
What happens next is narrower than the headline might suggest. The sheriff’s office has already said what it came to do, and Tennova has already said the clinic will no longer operate at that location after July 31, 2026. The open question is not whether the eviction happened. It did. The question is how the clinic’s records, sensitive materials, and patient information are handled from here, and whether the practice continues elsewhere after leaving Powell.
