ABC has set its fall premiere dates, and the new season of R.J. Decker now has a launch night. The series will debut on Tuesday, September 15, right after the two-night return of Dancing with the Stars.
That is the date viewers have been waiting for because it puts the abc rj decker fall release at the center of ABC's September rollout. On the same night, Dancing with the Stars begins a two-night premiere, and the network will reveal its full cast on September 2 on Good Morning America. Four stars have already been announced: Maura Higgins from Love Island, Ciara Miller from Summer House, Jackson Olson from the Savannah Bananas and Guillermo Rodriguez from Jimmy Kimmel Live!. For ABC, the schedule is now concrete, and for audiences, that means the fall is no longer a loose promise but a calendar.
The rest of the lineup fills out the month and into October. 20/20 returns on September 25. Scrubs starts its second season on Wednesday, September 30, the same night Shark Tank opens with a two-episode premiere before moving to its regular Wednesday 10 p.m. slot on October 7. Abbott Elementary returns at 8:30 p.m. that night, while Celebrity Wheel of Fortune arrives on October 2. Monday Night Football is back on most Mondays beginning September 14, and College Football begins Saturday, August 29.
There is, though, one sign that ABC is spreading its bets beyond the fall. Celebrity Jeopardy! is not part of this season's run anymore; it is now set to return in 2027. The Bachelor, High Potential, The Rookie, Shifting Gears and Will Trent are being held for the new year, along with The Rookie: North and the Grey's Anatomy spinoff. That leaves the fall schedule packed, but not complete.
Deena Katz, who is shaping Dancing with the Stars, said she is excited about what she is putting together this year and wants to do something different that audiences will still embrace. The result is a network rollout that starts in late August, spikes in mid-September and keeps moving through October, with original programming streaming the next day on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+ for bundle subscribers. For viewers, the first real marker is September 15: that is when Dancing with the Stars returns, R.J. Decker arrives and ABC's fall schedule becomes real.
