Gabrielle Union-Wade and Daniella Vitale welcomed guests to a summer soirée at Topping Rose House in Bridgehampton on Friday night, setting off Ferragamo’s return to the East End with a four-day pop-up at the hotel. The dinner turned the property into a fashion stop for a guest list drawn from entertainment, style and creative circles.
The pop-up gives visitors a look at Ferragamo’s pre-fall 2026 collection and other pieces from Maximilian Davis, while the dinner gave the launch a more personal frame. Union-Wade has been spending her summers out east since she and Dwyane Wade bought a house on the North Fork two years ago, and she said the area works because the family can be together and fresh produce is available around the corner every day.
That easy rhythm ran through the evening. Union-Wade said she and Wade sometimes drive to the local ice cream shop, and she called Snowflake the best ice cream. But Wade was not at the dinner; he was in Indianapolis for WNBA All-Star Weekend, leaving Union-Wade to host without him as the brand pushed its Hamptons comeback.
The guest list included Christie Brinkley, Sailor Brinkley-Cook, Katie Couric, Derek Blasberg, Don Lemon, Izzi Allain, Casey Fremont, Sophie Elgort and Valentina Akerman, with Katie Holmes arriving alongside New York City-based artist Jason Bard Yarmosky in subtly matching navy looks. Holmes described the pairing as a masculine-feminine sort of thing, adding that they just have similar taste.
Guests sipped champagne and Aperol Spritzes by the pool before sitting down to a three-course dinner in the orchard beneath trees strung with fairy lights. Ferragamo towels, umbrellas and Gancini motif-adorned pillows gave Topping Rose House an Italian feel, and the meal finished with almond cake and strawberry sorbet. Union-Wade said she and Wade will head to Greece at the end of the summer for their annual couples’ trip, but for now the focus is on the pop-up and the question it leaves hanging: why Ferragamo chose this East End return, and why it chose this moment to do it.
