007 First Light got its first content update on Friday, adding two new TacSim missions, three weapons and a relaxed new outfit for Bond. The update also brings bug fixes and stability improvements, making it the first fresh batch of playable content players can download since the game launched.

For Bond, the most noticeable addition is the Diamond in the Rough outfit, which comes at Clearance Level 18 and costs 3,000 Intel. The new weapons slot into TacSim as well: the Stormberg 50'cal pistol at Clearance Level 10, the DRX-2 Machine Pistol at Clearance Level 12 and the DRS-7 Silenced SMG at Clearance Level 16, with each one priced at 3,000 intel to unlock.

The two new missions give the update its weight. The Workshop is a three-tier stealth mission that sends Bond into Q's workshop, while Extraction Avenue pushes players to shoot through the level before reinforcements arrive. That mix of stealth and speed is the clearest sign yet that IO Interactive is using post-launch updates to widen how 007 First Light plays rather than simply patching over gaps.

There is one oddity in the download itself. The patch is said to be under 4 GB, except on PlayStation, where it comes in at 23.84 GB. That gap is large enough to stand out on its own, even though the studio has not explained the difference. Players on PlayStation, Windows PC, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S are all part of the update cycle, and the series is still set to expand later in the year with a Nintendo Switch 2 version.

IO Interactive said the update shows the team's commitment to refining the 007 First Light experience, and the fixes back that up. They address crashes on Xbox Series S, animation issues and translation errors, which suggests the first update is doing two jobs at once: adding new content for players who want more to do, and sanding down the rough edges for everyone already in the game. The June roadmap had already pointed to future content, including a story DLC mission centered on pirate king Bawma, and Friday's patch makes clear that the post-launch plan is now moving from promise to delivery.
