He said he is retired from football and still wants a chance to show he is “a little bit of an athlete,” a line that turns a passing tease into a direct request.
Brady did not sound like someone floating a one-off joke. He said he wants at least one match, pointed to Gronk and Logan Paul as examples of others who have already stepped into the ring, and said he has been thinking about how to get in the mix. He also said he would choose to be a heel, adding that he has always been a bad guy. For WWE, that matters because the company does not just need celebrity curiosity; it needs a role that feels usable.
But there is still a gap between Brady’s interest and an actual booking. He said he has not yet received an invite from WWE, even after Cody Rhodes said the invite is certainly open. That leaves the company with a simple choice: keep the interest as a public flirtation, or turn Brady’s pitch into an on-screen plan. Earlier this year, Brady was already trading barbs with WWE stars like Logan Paul, which made fans wonder whether he might show up and get physical at WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas.
The next step is not hard to see. If WWE wants the crossover, it now has a ready-made story from a soon to be 49-year-old who asked for the spot himself. If it does not, Brady’s comments will sit where a lot of celebrity wrestling talk ends up: as proof the interest was real, and the invite was the only missing piece.
