The Mandalorian and Grogu digital release lands July 21, putting the film on Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV and Fandango after its summer theatrical run. The move brings Din Djarin and Grogu home first, with 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray still set for August 25.
That date matters because the film is not just another streaming arrival. It is being sold as the Star Wars franchise’s cinematic return after the end of the Skywalker Saga, and viewers who want Pedro Pascal back as the Mandalorian do not have long to wait before they can watch at home.
Jon Favreau directs the film, which also introduces Colonel Ward and Rotta the Hutt. Sigourney Weaver plays Colonel Ward, and Jeremy Allen White plays Rotta the Hutt, giving the home release a cast draw that stretches beyond the two central characters.
The physical editions are where the release widens. The Beskar Collector’s Edition will include special packaging, a SteelBook, metal posters and the film on 4K UHD, Blu-ray and Digital, while the digital and Blu-ray versions promise hours of exclusive bonus content. That bonus material includes featurettes and audio commentary, though the run times for each piece have not been detailed.
The timing also leaves one clear tension in place: the movie is reaching homes only after its theatrical life, even as it has been framed as a major return for the franchise. For now, the next confirmed step is August 25, when the 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray editions arrive and the home rollout becomes complete.
