Amy Schumer used the Fourth of July weekend to show off a noticeably slimmer figure in a cheerful Instagram Story from a gathering with longtime friends and their families. The 45-year-old wore a light blue plunging tank top, matching shorts and a pale blue baseball cap as she smiled for photos and video.
Schumer wrote, “Thanks @chloeiscrazy and @mother_for my suit!” and added, “Epic Forth,” as she marked the holiday in her own way. She later summed up the day as “Just a group of 25 friends who have known each other for 35 years with their families. Love you all.”
The holiday post landed with extra attention because Schumer has already been speaking publicly about the effort behind her changing appearance. Days before the Fourth of July weekend, she posted an attempted Baywatch slow-motion run from a beach outing with her mother, then followed it with another Instagram Story that simply read, “And this.”
That was part of a recent Instagram video in which Schumer said she had tried the GLP-1 drug Wegovy but could not stay on it. “I was puking. I couldn’t handle it,” she said, adding that she had gone on a Telehealth meeting with Midi Health and wanted to try the medication herself so she could recommend it to friends who are nurses and teachers.
The contrast is what makes the new holiday images land: Schumer is visibly slimmer, but she has been clear that Wegovy was not easy for her to tolerate. For now, the Fourth of July Story gives the public a fresh look at the result, but not a full explanation of how she got there.
