Gomez drew the sharpest attention: a strapless black Oscar de la Renta dress with floral lace appliqués over a semisheer, skin-toned base, a fitted bustier and a thigh-high slit.
She finished the look with black Jimmy Choo stilettos, Fernando Jorge diamonds, a sleek, part-free updo from Renato Campora, and makeup by Soo Park that added a softly smoked cat eye, pink blush and a berry-toned lip. Tom Bachik then gave her a sheer neutral manicure. The styling mattered because Gomez’s appearance landed just as readers were searching for the night’s most visible details, even though the hosts kept the dinner largely out of view.
That contrast defined the evening: the event itself stayed mostly hidden, but the outfits traveled fast.
