Dutton Ranch will reach its season finale on July 3, ending the current run of the Yellowstone sequel that follows Rip Wheeler and Beth Dutton as they try to build a new ranching business in Texas. Episode 9, El Padrino, airs that day, closing a season that drew viewers in from the start.
The date matters now because Episode 8, Whiskey Limits, arrives Friday, June 26, on Paramount Plus and also airs at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Paramount Network, leaving just one week before the finale. Philo subscribers can also watch new episodes all day long once they post on the streamer each Friday at 12:01 a.m. PT, which means the last stretch of the season is arriving on a fixed schedule viewers can follow without guessing.
Kelly Reilly stars in the series alongside Cole Hauser, and their return as Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler has helped make Dutton Ranch one of Paramount Plus's biggest launches. The show pulled 12.9 million global views in its first week and became the most-watched original series debut in Paramount Plus history after that opening run. Annette Bening is also among the cast members, and the series continues Taylor Sheridan's TV universe in Texas.
That is why the finale date lands with a little more weight than a routine schedule note. Dutton Ranch has already been renewed for a second season, so the end of this season does not mark the end of the story. It does, however, set up a clean break between the current run and what comes next, with the remaining episodes still moving toward the July 3 finish.
The rollout from May 15 to July 3 leaves no mystery about the path to the end: the first two episodes, The Untold Want and Earn Another Day, premiered on May 15, followed by Act of God Business, Start With a Bullet, Peaceful Find Peace, A Cowboy Saint, Den of Sin and Whiskey Limits. With El Padrino now set for July 3, the only real question left is not whether the season ends, but how much trouble Rip and Beth will have to absorb before it does.
