KATSEYE is not putting a deadline on Manon’s return. In a new update on June 25, Sophia Laforteza said the group will not rush her back from the temporary hiatus she began four months ago, and that the door remains open for her to rejoin when she is ready.
The latest word is drawing attention now because fans have been waiting to hear whether KATSEYE could soon be back at full strength. Manon stepped away in February to focus on her health and well-being, and the group has continued its scheduled activities without her while offering only one clear message: the timing belongs to her, not to the calendar.
Laforteza was direct about that in remarks to Allure, saying it is not her place or anyone else’s place to rush Manon. She added that the group does not want to make assumptions or set anything in stone, and said the door is always open. That stance matches the earlier statement from KATSEYE, which said it fully supports the decision and would keep moving forward during her absence.
Manon’s break has been framed from the start around health and well-being, not conflict or departure. KATSEYE first announced the hiatus in February, and in April Manon said she and HxG were having positive conversations, that she felt supported, and that she was happy and healthy. She also said she would share more soon, giving fans a rare sign that the pause was being handled with care rather than urgency.
The friction is simple, and it is why the update matters: KATSEYE says it does not want to rush her, but the group’s six-member lineup remains incomplete while the rest of the schedule goes on. For now, there is no return date to count down to. The only firm answer is that Manon’s comeback will happen on her terms, and the group is leaving the space open until it does.
