The Chicago Bears will get a prime-time rematch with the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 3, and this one shifts to Soldier Field on Monday Night Football. It is the second straight season the teams will meet under the lights, with Chicago again holding a spot on a stage that tends to turn a schedule release into a real test.
The timing matters because the last meeting still hangs over this matchup. The Bears beat the Eagles 24-15 at Lincoln Financial Field in Week 13 on Black Friday last season, and they did it by running for 281 yards while Kyle Monangai powered 22 carries for 130 yards and a rushing touchdown. D'Andre Swift added 18 attempts for 125 rushing yards and another score, while Caleb Williams finished 17 of 36 for 154 yards with one touchdown and one interception.
Williams' touchdown to Cole Kmet with 6:19 left in the fourth quarter pushed Chicago ahead 24-9, the sort of late cushion that made the result feel more decisive than a simple box score. Monangai's role is part of why this rematch draws attention now: he was one of the clearest signs of how the Bears controlled that game from the ground up, and Chicago will almost certainly lean on that memory when it prepares for the return meeting.
There is also a reason the Eagles look different now. A.J. Brown produced 10 catches for 132 yards and two touchdowns in the meeting last year, but the offense has since changed after he was traded to the New England Patriots. Philadelphia answered by using the 20th overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft on USC receiver Makai Lemon, who had 79 catches for 1,156 yards and 11 touchdowns last season, and later sent two third-round picks to the Minnesota Vikings for Jonathan Greenard.
That move also changed the other side of the ball. Greenard has 3.5 sacks, two forced fumbles and 16 total tackles in five games against the Bears, and he joins a front that already includes Jalyx Hunt, Moro Ojomo, Jalen Carter, Jordan Davis and Nolan Smith Jr. The Eagles are not walking into Soldier Field with the same look they had in that 24-15 loss, even if the matchup still carries the same NFC weight.
What still is not public is the exact date and kickoff time for the Week 3 game, only that it lands on Monday Night Football. For now, the schedule gives Chicago and Philadelphia a clear appointment and leaves the rest to the calendar.
