Little Caesars launched its Spider-Man tie-in on June 22, putting a new Webberoni Pizza on the menu at participating locations and rolling out Spider-Man-branded packaging at the same time. The limited-time offer comes with a toasted two-cheese blend and shredded pepperoni arranged like a spider’s web, and it sells for $8.99.
The reason people are searching now is simple: the pizza is built around the arrival of Spider-Man: Brand New Day, which opens in theaters on July 31. Greg Hamilton said the company wanted to create a pizza occasion the whole family could enjoy, and the chain is pairing that pitch with a summer push that starts with the new menu item and reaches into stores, packaging and a one-day event in Brooklyn.
That event is set for June 27 at Greenpoint Terminal Warehouse, where visitors can step inside a recreation of Peter Parker's apartment, take photos and sample the Webberoni Pizza from 1 to 8 p.m. ET. Little Caesars is also offering the pizza as a HOT-N-READY option for walk-in customers, while online buyers who want the cheese-and-pepperoni web on a different pie must pay extra for the customization.
The next part of the campaign lands on July 6, when each Webberoni Pizza transaction starts coming with a limited-edition poster. Three different designs will cycle through participating locations on a weekly basis while supplies last, which means the giveaway is not open-ended even if the menu item itself is the main draw. Little Caesars said it is the third-largest pizza chain in the world and has restaurants in all 50 U.S. states and more than 30 countries and territories, giving the promotion a reach that is much wider than the Brooklyn pop-up.
Jeffrey Godsick said Spider-Man's mix of action, humor and fun made the pairing feel natural, and the campaign leans hard into that tone. The real test is whether the promotion reads as a collectible summer tie-in or just another branded pie, but the July 6 poster drop gives customers a second reason to show up after the first wave of curiosity fades.
