FC Red Bull Salzburg trained for about 100 minutes in Taxham on Monday, and Adam Daghim was back in the session even as he made clear he wants to leave the club. Cheftrainer Danny Röhl welcomed seven new players to the workout, including several returnees who had been missing before Monday.
Daghim told Danish television that he wants out, saying, “Im Grunde möchte ich Salzburg einfach verlassen.” He added that the club knows it too, and that he hopes there will be interest and a suitable offer for him. Those words landed on the same day he rejoined training after his spell abroad ended, making him one of the players now back in camp but not necessarily settled in it.
The session also brought back Soumaila Diabate after problems on the return journey, while Christian Zawieschitzky, Damir Redzic and John Mellberg were also involved again. Gaoussou Diakite returned after a season at Lausanne-Sport, and Leandro Morgalla came back after his loan spell at VfL Bochum. In all, three loan players were back with Salzburg as preparation continued.
That is what gives Daghim’s case its edge. He is training with Salzburg again, but his own public line points the other way. No concrete offer has been confirmed, and until one comes, he remains in the squad picture on paper while sounding like a player already looking beyond it.
