Dutton Ranch Season 1, Episode 7 pulls the curtain back on Beulah Jackson, opening with a flashback that shows a very different version of her past and ends with her running the 10-Petal Ranch anniversary setup like she owns it. By the time the celebration begins, Carter has his first meeting with her, Rip has already offered him a weekend job at the ranch, and Beulah makes the kind of introduction that sticks: he can call her Mama B.

Back in the present, Beulah arrives at the bunkhouse to oversee anniversary plans and immediately takes control of the room. She tells the cowboys they are not invited to the 10-Petal Ranch anniversary celebrations, then softens the blow with an open tab at a local bar. She also critiques the setup before the big day, while Beth gets Rip into a crisp blazer and shirt and the pair head to the ranch on horseback with plans to party for two hours and leave with an Irish goodbye. It is a neat reversal for a woman whose past has been defined by being moved around by somebody else.
The episode also keeps one eye on a smaller mystery. Oreana appears in a floral dress and bold dark-red lipstick with Harrison, a tall friend introduced at the celebration preparations, even though the last time she and Carter were seen together they were racing off on a speedboat. The new pairing is enough to suggest something happened off camera, but the show leaves that gap open while it focuses on Beulah’s history and Carter’s place inside the ranch’s new order. For now, the clearest answer is the simplest one: Beulah is not just telling her story again, she is choosing who gets to hear it, and Carter is being invited close enough to learn how that power works.
