Air Algérie will bring back its Valence-Alger service on 14 June 2026, restoring a route that had been absent for several months and putting two weekly flights back on the board just as the summer rush begins. The flights are set for Thursday and Sunday, giving travellers between Algiers and Valence a direct option again after nearly two years without regular service on this axis.
The airline announced the return on Monday 8 June, and the timing makes the move easy to read: June is the point at which summer travel starts to harden into demand, especially on routes tied to vacation traffic and the Algerian community living in Europe. That matters because a route only becomes strategic when it pulls double duty: it serves holidaymakers during the peak season and it gives the airline a channel into a market where travel demand is steady rather than fleeting.
Prices will decide how quickly the service fills. The round-trip fare from Algiers to Valence starts at 57,259 Algerian dinars per person, while a one-way ticket from Algiers starts at 41,770 Algerian dinars and a one-way fare from Spain starts at 204 euros. Those numbers place the route in the middle of Air Algérie’s seasonal push, not as the cheapest option on offer but as part of a broader summer menu that the airline says also includes promotions to five destinations in Europe, Canada and Tunisia.
That broader sale runs from 1 June to 30 June 2026 for travel through 24 October 2026, with economy tickets that are non-refundable but changeable for an added fee. The figures show where Air Algérie wants attention now: Oran to Toulouse starts at 27,692 Algerian dinars, Algiers to Rome at 29,964, Algiers to Londres at 45,165 and Algiers to Montréal at 119,188, while Tunisia starts at 36,270 Algerian dinars and includes a 23-kilogram checked bag.
What the airline has not explained is why the Valence line had been silent for so long before this restart, even though it is now being folded into a strategy that treats Spain as a priority. That gap matters because the relaunch is being sold as a summer adjustment, not a recovery from a clearly described disruption. For now, the first test is simple enough: if the Thursday and Sunday rotations hold, Algiers regains one more door to Spain just in time for the busiest travel months of the year.
