The outing is drawing attention because it comes after years of rumors about trouble in their marriage, most of them tied to Timberlake’s DWI arrest in June 2024 and later reports about his drinking. He was pulled over after dinner at the American Hotel in Sag Harbor, NY, pleaded guilty in September 2024 to an impaired driving charge and later apologized outside the courthouse as part of his plea deal.
That backdrop has kept any public showing by the couple under a microscope, especially after Page Six reported in April that Biel had issued an ultimatum and that she had “had it” with his recent behavior. The same reporting said the marriage was not perfect, but that they were working through things, a line that now sits alongside a sighting that looked far more united than distant.
The day also offered a second snapshot of how each of them presented in public. Biel later wore a satin black top and slit skirt set with strappy heels, while Timberlake was seen in a striped gray shirt with wide pants and loafers. Last month, he also marked Mother’s Day with a tribute to her on Instagram, another sign that the couple has kept showing up for each other even as questions about the relationship linger.
For now, the only firm answer is that the pair chose to appear together, and to do so publicly, after a long stretch without a joint outing.
