Evanescence opened its 2026 North American tour Thursday night in West Palm Beach, Florida, and Amy Lee used the first stop to put the band’s new album, Sanctuary, in the center of the show. The 21-song set at the iTHINK Financial Amphitheatre mixed the album’s title track with catalog staples and, for fans in attendance, delivered eight live debuts from the record.
The timing matters because this was not just a warm-up date. It was the first night of a run that stretches through August 2 in Clarkston, Michigan, before the band heads into a UK and European outing in September. Fans in West Palm Beach got an immediate look at how Lee wants the tour to sound: old songs like Going Under, Call Me When You’re Sober, Bring Me to Life and My Immortal sat alongside newer material such as Tell Me When You’ve Had Enough, Afterlife, Rapture, Like You, Self Destruct, Calm Down, Beautiful Lie, Wasted on You, Forever Without You, Imaginary, Better Without You, About Us, Who Will You Follow and Wide Open Heart.
The show’s biggest lift came on Fight Like a Girl, when Lee and the band were joined by Spiritbox’s Courtney LaPlante and Nova Twins. That collaboration gave the opener a one-night sense of occasion, but it also underscored a small wrinkle in the album showcase: Sanctuary has 12 tracks, and only eight were performed live for the first time in West Palm Beach. The set confirmed the tour’s direction without making clear which four songs had already been aired elsewhere.
For now, the answer to what happens next is straightforward. The tour moves on to Tampa, FL, on June 12, and every stop after that will show whether the first night was the band’s full statement or just the opening move in a longer reset for Lee and Evanescence.
