Louisiana State Police issued a Level II Endangered/Missing Child Advisory on June 11 for 17-year-old Trenton Reeves, a New Orleans teenager who was reported missing the night before. Investigators said he was last seen leaving a residence on Eastview Drive and may be traveling with Tommie Mango.
The alert puts a vulnerable child in the center of an active search. Family members say Reeves is non-verbal and has a medical condition that may impair his judgment, which is why the case moved quickly from a missing-person report to an endangered-child advisory.
Police said Reeves was discovered missing at about 9:37 p.m. on June 10, and the request for the alert reached state police at 1:32 a.m. on June 11. The advisory was issued on behalf of the New Orleans Police Department, which is handling the investigation.
Investigators believe Reeves left with Mango, but they have not said where either of them is now. Mango is described as a Black male with brown eyes and black hair, 6 feet 1 inch tall and about 170 pounds. The pair are believed to be traveling in a brown 2014 Mercedes-Benz ML350 with Louisiana Save the Honeybee license plate HB 1576.
The vehicle description gives the search a narrow focus, but it has not closed the gap at the center of the case: where Reeves and Mango are now. Anyone with information is asked to call the New Orleans Police Department at 504-821-2222 or dial 911 immediately.
