Mohammed Skaf charged with 24 drug and other offences after Greenacre arrest

was charged with 24 drug and other criminal offences after police arrested him at his Greenacre home on Wednesday night and alleged they found cash, cocaine, MDMA and phones during the operation.

The charges against Skaf include 22 counts of supplying prohibited drugs of varying quantities, knowingly dealing with proceeds of crime and directing activities of a criminal group. Police were investigating the supply of cocaine through Sydney’s south-west suburbs late on Wednesday night when they allegedly uncovered $220,000 in cash, about 68 grams of cocaine, 10 grams of MDMA, several mobile phones and a vehicle in the raid of his home.

Officers also alleged they found 140 grams of cocaine and $25,000 in cash after a search of Skaf and a park close to the residence. He was refused bail and was due to appear before on Thursday.

Two other men were also arrested in the same operation. , also known as , was arrested on Wednesday night and was due to face court on Thursday, along with .

The arrest adds another criminal case for Skaf, who is described as a notorious Sydney gang rapist. In 2000, when he was 17, Skaf, his brother and at least 14 other men raped at least six schoolgirls over several weeks. He was released from in October 2021 after almost 21 years behind bars under strict parole conditions, with that order due to run until January 2024.

What police say linked the cocaine supply inquiry to Skaf’s home has not been laid out publicly, and that leaves the court process to test how strong the alleged drug case is. For now, the immediate step is simple: Skaf will face Bankstown Local Court on Thursday, while the broader investigation into the supply of cocaine in Sydney’s south-west suburbs continues.
