He was 41 when he spoke at his fourth annual Pool Situation: Nashville CMA party at the Margaritaville Hotel in Nashville, where he said he and Hubbard had been trying to hang out for a long time. Lynch said he was nervous in New York City and called Hubbard a great tour guide, while Hubbard said he was a natural on reality television and that she gave him a lay of the land before he walked into the group.
That matters because Lynch is not a reality regular, and he said as much when he talked about being on TV. He described the appearance as "not my thing," then added that he felt like a bit of fish out of water but "fell right in."
