Scotrail will run an extra late-night train from Glasgow Queen Street to Edinburgh Waverley after ’s Hampden concerts on Friday, June 12 and Saturday, June 13, giving fans a way home after two sell-out nights at Barclays Hampden.

The added service is part of a wider push to move thousands of concertgoers before and after the shows, with more seats and extra trains planned on busy routes across Glasgow. said Mount Florida station is only a short walk from the stadium, making rail travel one of the easiest ways to reach the venue.

The extra train is aimed at the heavy post-concert rush that usually follows major events at Hampden, where demand can spike sharply as fans leave at the same time. Scotrail has also increased capacity between Glasgow Central and Mount Florida and said additional staff will be on hand to help manage crowds and keep travel moving safely across the network.

But the rail operator is also warning that the reassurance comes with limits. Services through Mount Florida will be busier than usual on concert nights, and passengers must have valid tickets before boarding. Campbell urged fans to plan ahead, allow extra time for travel and buy their return tickets in advance, a reminder that the extra capacity is meant to ease congestion, not erase it.

The next fixed dates in the plan are the concerts themselves, with scheduled for Friday, June 12 and Saturday, June 13. For fans heading home after the encore, the unanswered detail is the exact departure time of the additional Glasgow Queen Street to Edinburgh Waverley service, which Scotrail has not yet set out.
