Sergio Perez crossed the line inside the points at Monaco, only to have Cadillac’s first Formula 1 points finish wiped away after stewards handed him a post-race 10-second penalty. The change dropped Perez from P10 to P15 and turned what had looked like a breakthrough into another agonizing footnote.

He received a five-second pit-lane speeding penalty, but stewards decided no further action was needed over an alleged Safety Car infringement, and he kept P2. At the front, Mercedes’ Kimi Antonelli won the race, called it an incredible afternoon and took his fifth victory of the season, but Monaco’s headline was the order in which the penalties landed and how quickly they rewrote the finishing sheet.
