Princess Charlene of Monaco brought a sharp burst of red to Formula 1 on Friday, appearing at a practice session in Monte-Carlo ahead of the Grand Prix of Monaco. She was joined by Prince Albert II as the weekend at the Monaco street circuit got underway.
The princess wore a sleeveless red midi dress with a plunging neckline and pleating throughout, a fitted bodice and a belt finished with gold hardware. She paired it with pointed-toe red pumps and gold hoop earrings, while her short hair was worn longer than usual with a side part. The look was stripped back in accessories, with the earrings the only jewelry noted.
Her appearance matters because it came as the Monaco Grand Prix opened its three-day run on Friday and drew attention back to one of the principality's most familiar public faces. Princess Charlene has long been a fixture at the race, wearing Louis Vuitton at the event in 2024 and Akris several times between 2018 and 2023.
This year's weekend carries an added twist: Louis Vuitton is serving as title sponsor for the first time. Drivers are racing the 3.337km street circuit in Monte Carlo, with practice sessions ending Friday, another practice session and qualifying set for Saturday, and the main draw race scheduled for Sunday.
What remains unanswered is whether Charlene will return for the rest of the weekend. Her Friday appearance set the tone, but the larger test comes when qualifying starts on Saturday and the race itself follows on Sunday.
