Alan Titchmarsh told viewers on June 7 that Love Your Weekend had reached the end of its current series, then opened the episode with Judy Parfitt at Manor Farm and promised they were going out with a bang.
The announcement landed just minutes into his return to screens, giving the latest episode an added edge for viewers who had tuned in expecting the usual weekend mix of guests and chat. Parfitt was among the names on the bill, alongside Brian Conley, Freddie Fox, Julian Ovenden and Honeysuckle Weeks.
Titchmarsh set the tone himself, saying: “It's the last show of the series today and we're going out with a bang. Judy, are you ready?” Parfitt replied, “I'm ready for anything,” before he joked, “Driving Miss Judy. Let's get this show on the road. Time for Love Your Weekend!”
That lively opening sat alongside a quieter fact underneath it: the programme is not ending altogether. Titchmarsh has said Love Your Weekend has been recommissioned through the end of 2027, even as the June 7 episode was framed on air as the series finale and the show headed into a summer break.
He later told viewers, “Coming up, a line-up of fun fabulousness and some familiar faces,” a line that matched the mood of the episode even as it underlined the gap left by the break. The series will return after the summer, but no date has been announced, leaving viewers waiting for the next run while they can still stream Love Your Weekend with Alan Titchmarsh on ITVX.
