A$ Rocky has offered a fresh glimpse into life at home with Rihanna and their three children, saying their daughter, Rocki Irish, “just runs the show.” In a new conversation with Vibe Magazine about fatherhood, he described each child’s personality in bluntly affectionate terms and made clear that the family’s youngest has already found her place in the household.
That detail lands now because Rocky’s remarks are the latest public window into a family that has kept much of its private life offstage since he and Rihanna began dating in 2019. The couple welcomed their first child, RZA Athelaston, in 2022, their second son, Riot Rose, in 2023, and their daughter, Rocki Irish, in 2025, making this a rare look at what the pair sound like when they are talking about parenting instead of music, fashion, or fame.
Rocky said his second child is “very, very, very intelligent” and reminds him so much of his mother. He said his firstborn reminds him of himself and is “a real introvert.” Together, the comments sketch three very different temperaments inside one family, with Rocki Irish emerging as the child who keeps control of the room.
The balance of the interview, though, was not just about personality. Rocky said he wants to teach his boys discipline, keep them grounded and keep them humble as much as possible because they could be considered nepo babies. He said he wants them to spend time with their cousins, whom he called the rough cousins who are going to keep them on their toes, a sign that he is thinking as much about character as comfort.
He also said fatherhood is about showing up in a way his children can feel. Rocky described wanting to be “emotionally present, emotionally available, receptive, still endearing” and loving, and said the arrival of each child has brought its own surprise. On the birth of Rocki Irish, he said it was exciting because you do not know what to prepare for, adding that he and Rihanna were literally laughing and cracking jokes while she was in labor.
That image fits an earlier version of Rihanna’s own view of motherhood. In a 2023 British Vogue interview, she called it “legendary” and said, “It’s everything. You really don’t remember life before, that’s the craziest thing ever,” later adding that you try to remember it but no longer identify with life before children. For a couple whose public image is built on style and stardom, the conversation around Rocki Irish and her brothers is notable for how ordinary it sounds: sleep, discipline, cousins, laughter in the delivery room.
What remains unanswered is how Rihanna herself would describe the children’s personalities now that the family of five is settling into its shape. Rocky has given his version, and it is vivid enough to stick: one son like him, one like Rihanna, and a daughter who runs the show.
