Carey Means says he and his wife, Leah Levin Means, are facing homelessness after their rent went up and they were told to move. In a Facebook post, the 54-year-old voice actor wrote, “Homeless! Please help!! Our rent went up, and we have to move. We have no money and no credit.”
The post is getting attention now because Means is not a struggling unknown. He is the voice of Frylock in Adult Swim’s Aqua Teen Hunger Force, a role he held across 143 episodes, and he recently appeared in the indie film Oldburgh. For fans who have followed his work for years, the message is a blunt reminder that a recognizable credit does not always translate into financial security.
The couple’s strain did not start with this move. They have been struggling since Means suffered a heart-related emergency in 2022, and two separate GoFundMe campaigns launched in 2025 and again in February 2026 have remained unfunded. With no money and no credit, the Meanses are trying to bridge the gap any way they can.
Leah Levin Means is handcrafting autographed Aqua Teen plushies and prints to help keep them going, while Carey Means is offering Cameo appearances. It is a small operation built around a voice that millions know but a bank balance that has run dry, and it leaves the couple dependent on whether fans are willing to buy, donate or share the appeal before the housing deadline catches up with them.
For now, the most important fact is also the simplest one: the rent has gone up, the move is coming, and the money has not.
