Zendaya says going back to SPIDER-MAN: BRAND NEW DAY with Tom Holland feels less like returning to a set than walking back into a life she already knows. The actor said the film has turned into a family affair, one that includes her boyfriend, their dogs and, in her words, “coming home.”
The comments arrive as interest in tom holland and zendaya remains high because the pair have stayed deliberately low-profile while building careers that keep crossing paths. They began dating in 2021, have already worked together on Christopher Nolan’s THE ODYSSEY, and Zendaya said she gets to go to work every day with “my best friend, the person that I love.”
She described the experience on the Spider-Man set with unusual warmth. “SPIDER-MAN was a dream,” Zendaya said, adding that they bring their dogs to work and that she could have cried watching Holland at work because she was so proud of him. Matt Damon, who appears with them in THE ODYSSEY, said he absolutely adores the two together and called them “the two loveliest people.”
That easy, affectionate picture sits beside a clear boundary. Zendaya said she understands the public fascination with her relationship and knows there is a parasocial investment in it, but she also wants to keep some things for herself. She said she and Holland are not trying to hide from the world, only preserve parts of their lives so the relationship keeps its joy, and that they have their own little limits about what they will talk about.
Holland made a similar point in 2021, saying privacy is no longer really in their control and that moments meant for two people can quickly become public property. He said he has always been adamant about keeping his private life private and that they sort of felt robbed of that privacy. For now, Zendaya and Holland are not confirming or denying rumors that they tied the knot earlier this year, and that silence is likely to keep the speculation alive even as the work continues.
