Earhardt told ChurchLeaders, “Please pray that she knows the Lord,” and added, “Please pray protection over her life because I’m raising her in New York City and I love her so much.” For Earhardt, Hayden is not just a child she is guiding through childhood; she called her “a gift from God created with a purpose” and said she was supposed to be her mom.
The comments help explain why Hayden sits at the center of Earhardt’s public storytelling. She said she never knew what real love was until her daughter was born, and that she is strict with Hayden but wants her to love her life. Earhardt said she wants their home to be a happy place, a place where Hayden wants to come home and where other children feel welcome too.
