Tuesday’s weather across Cyprus will stay mostly clear for most of the day, but the calm picture is not uniform. Inland areas are set to heat up to 33 degrees Celsius, while cooler readings are expected along the coasts and in the mountains.
That matters today because the forecast is specific by region: 28 degrees Celsius on the south and east coast, 26 on the west and north coasts and 22 in the mountains. For people planning a beach day, a drive inland or time outdoors in higher ground, the difference will be felt fast.
Cloud cover is expected to build in parts during the afternoon, and those clouds may bring isolated rain showers in the mountains. Most of the island should still see a largely clear day, but the forecast leaves room for a brief change in the high ground while the rest of Cyprus stays dry.
Overnight, the skies are expected to clear, though cloud cover will still be possible in parts and light fog may form in the early hours of Wednesday morning. Temperatures will fall to 16 degrees Celsius inland and on the north coast, 18 on the rest of the coasts and 12 in the mountains, setting up a much cooler start to the day.
The pattern is expected to stay broadly similar on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, with temperatures remaining stable through the rest of the week. For now, Tuesday is the day to watch: mostly clear for most of Cyprus, hot inland, and just unsettled enough in the mountains to keep a small risk alive.
