Steve Heapy said the weekend had been record-breaking, with customers making the most of the bank holiday weekend and the May half-term to head off to the sunshine. He said the demand showed how much people want to get away and enjoy their well-deserved holidays, and added that holidaymakers can look forward to creating memories and a wonderful break.
Jet 2 is preparing for the summer season with a fleet of 139 aircraft, serving passengers from 14 UK airports to destinations across Europe, the Mediterranean, the Canary Islands and North Africa. The company said it has been clear about its plan to operate as normal this summer, and that confidence rests on supplier updates showing increased production and extra imports of jet fuel.
Those updates have helped steady supply for now, even if the wider market remains unsettled. For passengers, the immediate message is simple: June flights are still scheduled, the airline says summer operations are intact, and the real test will be whether fuel conditions stay stable as the season moves into its busiest months.
