Paris Saint-Germain will take Achraf Hakimi, Ousmane Dembélé and Nuno Mendes into Saturday’s UEFA Champions League final against Arsenal, a major boost to their bid to repeat last year’s title win. PSG will meet Arsenal at the Puskás Aréna on 30 May with nearly a full squad available.
Hakimi has recovered from a muscle injury and was absent since the first leg against Bayern Munich. Dembélé, who had been dealing with a calf overload, is also fit again, while Mendes has returned after not playing since 9 May because of a minor thigh injury. Lucas Chevalier will also be present and could start from the bench.
The scale of PSG’s recovery matters because the final now arrives with almost all of the squad available, and with no suspended players for the match. The only PSG player completely ruled out is Quentin Ndjantou, who had surgery in February after a rupture of the right hamstring tendon. That leaves the defending champions in far better shape than many teams expect at this stage of the season.
Arsenal also have a clear absence, with Ben White ruled out after suffering a serious medial ligament injury in his right knee against West Ham in Premier League play. That means both finalists go into the biggest club match in Europe with only a few names missing, but PSG’s late surge in availability is the sharper edge of the story. The question now is not who can make the trip to Budapest, but which of the recently recovered PSG players will be trusted from the first whistle at the Puskás Aréna.
