Call of Duty: Warzone is being delisted for Xbox One and PS4 on June 4, 2026, ending new downloads on both aging consoles even as existing owners keep access for now. Activision said players who already have the game in their library can still install and play it through the end of Season 06 for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7.
The company said new downloads will no longer be available on those platforms starting June 4, but the game will remain playable on Xbox One and PS4 until Season 06 ends. The in-game store for those versions will then be removed on June 25, narrowing the experience further for anyone still using the older hardware.
For players such as longtime Warzone user Jake, the news turns a clean cutoff into a longer farewell. He is not being locked out immediately, but the end date is now fixed for anyone still tied to Xbox One or PS4, and the clock starts when downloads disappear on June 4. Pure Xbox summed up the immediate change in plain terms: “New downloads will no longer be available.”
The move fits a broader cleanup of older console support around early June 2026. Horizon Chase Turbo and Rec Room are also expected to disappear from the Xbox Store on June 1, making Warzone the third Xbox One game set to be delisted in that stretch. It also comes as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 is not coming to Xbox One and PS4 when it launches in October, while Series X, Series S, PS5, PC and Switch 2 are confirmed.
The split is now clear. Call of Duty: Warzone on Series X and Series S will survive, while the Xbox One and PS4 versions are being wound down in stages. For owners of the older consoles, the key question is no longer whether the game is leaving, but how long the final stretch lasts after June 4. Activision’s answer is simple: through the end of Season 06 for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7.
