Jesse Williams is going to be a dad again. The 44-year-old actor and his wife, Spanish actress Alejandra Onieva, were photographed grocery shopping at Whole Foods in Los Angeles on Friday, and Onieva’s baby bump was clearly visible.
Onieva, 33, wore a cropped white top, a baggy blue denim jacket, matching baggy cargo jeans and New Balance sneakers. Williams, meanwhile, kept it casual in a light-colored hoodie, jeans and sneakers. The pair looked to be in good spirits and later met up with a friend for lunch.
The outing came a week after Onieva posted a series of photos of her bump on Instagram, captioning the post simply with “Vida.” Earlier this month, a report said the couple had quietly tied the knot a few months earlier in a low-key ceremony, a detail that had not been publicly announced before then.
Williams and Onieva met last year while filming the Amazon Prime series “Hotel Costiera” on Italy’s Amalfi Coast. In the action drama, Williams played a former marine who returns to Italy to work at a luxury hotel. The series was canceled after one season.
The pregnancy also adds a new chapter to Williams’ family life. He already has two children with ex-wife Aryn Drake-Lee: a daughter, Sadie, 12, and a son, Maceo, 10. Williams and Drake-Lee married in 2012, separated after five years and divorced in 2017, with the split finalized in 2020.
For now, the clearest signal is the one Onieva already put in public view last week and then carried into Friday’s errand run: the couple is moving forward with a very visible next step, even if they have chosen to keep the marriage itself out of the spotlight.
