Everton are looking to sign Aaron Wan-Bissaka as West Ham count the cost of relegation and prepare for a summer sale that could reshape the squad. The 28-year-old right-back, who joined West Ham from Manchester United for £15 million in the summer of 2024, is now being linked with a move that could cost about £10 million.
West Ham have dropped into the Championship and need to raise around £150 million in player sales to help balance the books and offset the hit from relegation. Wan-Bissaka, a DR Congo international, has played 65 times for the club and has eight assists to his name since arriving last year.
The reported fee matters because it would take West Ham below the price they paid only a year earlier, underlining how quickly relegation can force a club to accept losses on recent signings. Jarrod Bowen and Mateus Fernandes are also expected to leave the London Stadium, which means the pressure to sell is not limited to one player and the club may have to move quickly to meet its financial target.
Wan-Bissaka is also preparing to go to the World Cup next month, which leaves his future in a narrow window between international duty and the start of the next season. For West Ham, the calculation is simple: they need cash, and the market is already circling one of the few players whose value can still be turned into immediate relief.
