and beat at WWE Saturday Night's Main Event on Saturday night in ET, surviving a chaotic finish to win the World Tag Team Championships. The match turned into a four-on-two battle once and Bron Breakker got involved, and Theory pinned for the decisive fall.

The result ended a nearly two-month tag title reign for Paul and Theory, who had entered the show as champions after winning the belts in March from . For Ford and , it was another painful miss in a rivalry that has stretched across two teams with very different histories. The Street Profits, who have teamed for a decade, came in with a stronger résumé in WWE tag wrestling, having held the WWE Tag Team Championships twice and the Raw and NXT Tag Team Championships once each.

Ford and Dawkins had the match won after The Anointment-From the Heavens combo on Theory, but Heyman reached in and put Theory’s foot on the rope to stop the three-count. Breakker then sprinted in to attack The Street Profits, giving Paul and Theory the opening they needed. Dawkins tossed Breakker over the announcers’ table, but Paul answered by striking Ford with brass knuckles outside the ring before throwing him back onto the mat. Dawkins then flipped over the ropes to take out Paul, yet the damage was already done and Theory was able to cover Ford for the win.

The title change lands in the middle of a busy stretch for The Street Profits, who returned to WWE programming on the post-WrestleMania 42 edition of Raw after a seven-month hiatus. A few weeks later, Ford and Dawkins teamed with Joe Hendry to defeat Paul, Theory and Breakker in a six-man tag team match. Saturday’s loss closes the loop on that earlier momentum and puts the belts back in the hands of a team that has moved quickly from formation to championship level.

That contrast is what made the finish sting. Paul and Theory arrived at Saturday Night's Main Event as a relatively new pairing, while Ford and Dawkins were fighting with the weight of a ten-year partnership and a record that already included multiple title runs. In the end, the newer team left with the gold, and The Street Profits were left to regroup after coming within inches of another championship win.
