has set a June 5, 2026, global debut for , a TV-MA psychological horror thriller that will arrive with its first two episodes and then continue weekly through July 31. The 10-episode limited series stars and as married attorneys Max Cady targets after his release from prison.

The series is showrun and executive produced by , with and also among the executive producers. Patrick Wilson, Joe Anders, Lily Collias and Malia Pyles round out the ensemble cast, while CCH Pounder, Jamie Hector and Anna Baryshnikov appear in supporting roles. Morten Tyldum directs the pilot and is an executive producer.

Apple TV said the show is inspired by Scorsese’s 1991 remake, itself drawn from the 1962 film Cape Fear and the novel The Executioners. That gives the new version a familiar spine, but the service is framing it as a fresh take built around a thriller setup that turns domestic life into a target.

The June lineup also includes Sugar Season 2 and Camp Snoopy Season 2, giving Apple TV a trio of returning titles and a high-profile new launch in the same month. Sugar Season 2 premieres June 19 with one episode and runs weekly through Aug. 7, with Colin Farrell back as John Sugar and an expanded cast that includes Jin Ha, Raymond Lee, Tony Dalton, Laura Donnelly, Sasha Calle and Shea Whigham.

The scheduling shows Apple TV is leaning on a steady release pattern rather than a binge drop, a strategy that keeps each title in view for weeks instead of days. For Cape Fear 2026, the early-June launch also gives the series a long runway before the summer calendar fills up.

What comes next is simple enough: Cape Fear opens the month on June 5, Sugar follows on June 19, and Apple TV’s weekly rollout will keep both series in the conversation well into the summer.
