Tekken 8 has revealed Yujiro Hanma as the final challenger for Season 3, bringing the hulking antagonist from Grappler Baki into the fighting game roster in early 2027. The announcement closes out the season's character plan with one of manga's most notorious fighters.

Yujiro is the father of Baki Hanma and the main antagonist of the long-running series that began with its first issue in September 1991. He is known for being absurdly strong, and his arrival gives Tekken 8 a guest character whose reputation is built on brute force and menace rather than heroics.

The timing matters because the rest of the season is already mapped out. Kunimitsu is set to arrive on June 1, 2026, with Season Pass holders getting early access on May 27, 2026. Bob is due in Summer 2026, followed by Roger Jr. in Autumn 2026, leaving Yujiro as the last confirmed addition in the cycle and pushing his debut into early 2027.

That schedule puts Tekken 8 on a staggered rollout that stretches across more than a year, and it also ties the game's post-launch plans to a character drawn from a manga that has been around for almost 30 years. Grappler Baki centers on Baki trying to overcome his father, and Yujiro has long been presented as respected but not necessarily a good guy. Bringing him into Tekken 8 preserves that dynamic: the final Season 3 fighter is not a clean-cut champion, but the story's central obstacle made playable.

The surprise is not that Bandai Namco reached into manga for a guest fighter. It is that the season ends with Yujiro, a character whose identity depends on overpowering everyone around him and standing at the center of a franchise built on conflict between father and son. For players, the question is no longer who closes Season 3. It is how Tekken 8 will translate a figure like Yujiro into a roster that already has to make room for Kunimitsu, Bob and Roger Jr. before his arrival in early 2027.
